What keeps us going higher, further, together !

Volunteers...

More than 600 volunteers help to organise and run the weekend. The proceeds of the event are used in three main areas:

The association develops the sports and recreational infrastructure of the village. The purchase of a 2ha plot of land to create a playground and sports field; the creation of, in a remarkable green environment, four tennis courts, two football fields, volleyball and basketball courts, an area for pétanque, table tennis, a game of quilles (ancestor of bowling)  and a children's playground. And more recently: participation in the construction of a sports hall in conjunction with the city of Namur, and the construction of indoor tennis courts.

In addition, each year the various associations of the village receive a subsidy that allows them to achieve current goals and set new ones.

Finally, the organizing committee shares the success of the Brocante with those in greatest need. Grants are awarded to associations entirely outside the village working in the areas of housing, health or homes for the disadvantaged. Recent examples include: ASBL « La communauté des pèlerins » of Bouge,  ASBL « Foyer St Augustin » of Belgrade, ASBL « Saiha » of Andenne, centre scolaire « Claire d’Assise » of Bouge, ASBL « Jour après jour », centre de service social de Namur, ASBL "Le Gîte", the company La Royale Moncrabeau "Les 40 Molons", ASBL « Coup de Pouce », Ecole de devoirs de Spy, ASBL Ecole de brousse Sénégal. (See also Temploux infos 314)
